Montenegro: Independent movement is a prerequisite for the independence and inclusion of visually impaired people in society

The Union of the Blind of Montenegro organized the conference "Unfold the white cane and start the adventure of independent movement" with an emphasis on improving the social position of visually impaired people by including them in all spheres of social life through organizing training for movement with the help of a white cane.


Switzerland - Successful hackathon for greater digital accessibility

On 12th April the Swiss Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (SFB) organised a hackathon as part of the "Digital Accessibility NOW" awareness campaign. Over two dozen hackers dedicated themselves to one goal: making digital applications accessible.

A breath of fresh air: the importance of youth in the promotion of the rights of visually impaired people

The opening of a new working cycle often brings an opportunity to let new people let their voice be heard. Usually, those with more experience in working with issues for the blindness and partial sight community can make the most out of their capacities by collaborating with innovative perspectives coming from representatives of the younger generations.
