On the 6th of November our Irish member NCBI changed their name to Vision Ireland. For 92 years, they have supported people who are blind or vision impaired across Ireland.
As Vision Ireland, there intention is to build on that strong legacy. The reason for the name change is to make sure more people know about the services and support Vision Ireland provide. Right now, nearly 300,000 people in Ireland deal with some form of vision impairment.
With the new, more inclusive name, Vision Ireland wants to make sure everyone knows that they are here for people with a wide range of vision impairments.
